Driver’s Prayer and Prayers for Safe Travel — a Christian supplication for divine guidance, alertness, protection against road accidents, and peaceful completion of any journey under God’s loving protection.
Driver’s Prayer Before Setting Out
O God, All-Good and All-Merciful, Who protectest all through Thine infinite mercy and love for mankind: humbly I beseech Thee, through the intercessions of the Most Holy Theotokos and all Thy saints, preserve me and all entrusted to me from sudden peril and misfortune on the road.
Help me, O Lord, to drive with vigilance, patience, and clear judgment, showing respect to fellow travelers. Safeguard this vehicle from harm, fire, and distress, for in Thy hands is our life and journey, and unto Thee do we render glory, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
