The Akathist to Our Lord Jesus Christ is a prayer that helps to deepen one’s understanding and love of God. Reading this akathist helps to strengthen one’s faith and profess one’s Christianity.

O All-Merciful Savior, I, a sinner, have committed every kind of impurity. I have fallen into despair, but I cry out to Thee from the depths of my heart, O Word: hasten, O Bountiful One, and hasten to our aid, for Thou art Merciful.

Lord God Jesus Christ, my Master, who for the sake of Your boundless mercy, took on flesh at the end of the ages from the Virgin Mary, I hymn Your saving providence, my Master; I hymn You, for You have revealed the Father to me; I bless You, through whom the Holy Spirit came into the world; I venerate Your immaculate Mother, who served the mystery of Your incarnation; I extol Your angelic hosts, who hymn and serve Your majesty; I praise Your precursor John, who baptized You, Lord; I venerate and proclaim the prophets, who foretold You; I praise Your holy apostles; I celebrate Your martyrs; I praise Your priests; I venerate Your venerable ones; and I honor all Your righteous ones.
