Prayer to Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky: spiritual help in need, biblical lessons and faith
Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky has long been revered as a great miracle worker who helps people in their daily material needs. He is addressed with prayers for solving financial difficulties, finding a job, improving living conditions and success in business. However, behind this appeal there should always be a deep understanding of the spiritual laws left to us in the Holy Scriptures.
How Christ taught to pray: the secret presence and omniscience of God
When financial problems weigh on us, it’s easy to panic or look for ostentatious help. But Jesus Christ taught us to seek consolation in secret communication with God. In The Gospel of Matthew 6:6 He teaches: “And you, when you pray, go into your closet, shut your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret.”
When you close the door of your room, you close the door to the fear of poverty and anxiety about tomorrow. This is a time to build a living personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit working in your heart will give you peace and wisdom to solve any problem. Remember that the Creator knows about all your needs in advance: “For your Father knows what you need before you ask Him” (Gospel of Matthew 6:8). We need prayer in order to trust in His parental care.

Biblical examples of faith: how God provides for His children in times of trouble
The Apostle James reminds us that prayer should be full of faith, without any doubt: “For who doubts… let such a person not think that he will receive anything from the Lord” (Epistle of James 1:6-7). Faith comes from reading the Bible. Daily immersion in the Word of God strengthens our trust in the Creator, who is the Source of all living things.
Order and provision through Joseph in Egypt
In the Book of Genesis, the amazing story of Joseph is described (Genesis, chapter 41). After many years of trials and imprisonment, God brought him out and made him the ruler of all Egypt. The Lord gave Joseph extraordinary wisdom to prepare for seven years of great famine. Millions of lives have been saved thanks to good governance. This story shows that God cares about the financial provision of His people and sends His people and His wisdom to solve any economic crisis or need.

Prophet Elijah near the Kerit stream
We find another example of supernatural provision in the story of the prophet Elijah (First Book of Kings, Chapter 17). When there was a terrible famine and drought in the country, the Lord ordered Elijah to hide by the Kerith stream. God provided for him in an amazing way: ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and in the evening, and he drank water from the stream. This story reminds us that when we are faithful to God, He will find a way to support us even in the most difficult circumstances.

Practice of hesychasm and trust in Divine love
Saint Spyridon himself was a humble shepherd who sought inner silence (hysychia) and purity of heart. The Hesychasts advise during material difficulties not to dwell on debts or problems, but instead to be silent with the mind and trust in God.
God loves each of us infinitely and knows our earthly needs. In Padre Pio’s book “The Diary of Love”, the Lord emphasizes that His love takes care of us every day. Padre Pio taught: “Pray, hope and do not worry. The Creator knows about your accounts and needs. Do your work honestly, and leave the rest to Him.”
Apply the spiritual law of faith that Neville Goddard wrote about: imagine that your housing or financial issue has already been successfully resolved. Feel relief, peace and gratitude. Thank God for solving the problem as if it is already a reality.
Prayer to Saint Spyridon for help
The Lord’s Prayer
Say the perfect prayer Our Father:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, let Thy kingdom come, let Thy will be done, both in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive our trespassers, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Thine is the kingdom, and power, and glory, forever. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Spyridon of Trimifuntsky
O great and wonderful Saint Spyridon! Ask the merciful God, may he not condemn us for our iniquities, but may he deal with us according to his mercy. Ask us, the servants of God (names), from Christ and our God for a peaceful and carefree life, mental and physical health. Free us from all need, troubles and sorrows, from financial hardship and housing problems. Give us honest work and success in our affairs. Remember us at the throne of the Almighty and pray to the Lord, may he grant us the forgiveness of sins and a peaceful end of life. Amen.
Let us unite our prayers, because: “For where two or three are gathered in My Name, there I am in the midst of them” (Gospel of Matthew 18:20).
